In her book, 'Evil Returns' Caroline B. Cooney writes: "What if things crawled through those open louvers, crept into the room, blew in with the cold that fingered her hair?... She had not realized how wonderful glass was, how it protected you and kept you inside." This highlights the important, yet often unlauded, role that windows play in our lives. It is only once windows are broken or missing that we appreciate how they let us quietly view the world, shield us from the elements and keep out unwanted creatures. I have started this blog to sing the praises of windows and explore their various uses that we usually overlook. I hope that other window enthusiasts and those simply peeking through the curtains will join me in exploring the topic. Thank you for opening the shutters and having a chat!
